After reading the article Reading in a Whole New Way By Kevin Kelly, unlocked memories from the past. Our world has shifted in a fast and tremendous way when it comes to technology. After the COVID-19 virus, learning quickly shifted from paper to screens. this new switch has made many forget the way learning was before this time. As Kelly stated, "Its roots spring from documents- the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and, indirectly the Bible". During the 11th century, it was rare that more than 20 adult males could write and understand scribes and scripts. The printing press was invented and the production of books and newspapers widely spread the way people read and wrote. Today, 4.5 billion screens light up the average individual's day. It is easier and more accessible than producing paper products for learning. Some applications can help you solve math problems faster, write and check your paper, and even pretend to take a test due to AI. The new technology today goes beyond reading and writing. It can track weight, mood, and calories, detect health issues etc. As the history of reading and writing developed especially for the newer generation, we are so used to the technological advancements this is the new norm.
